William Doan, the 2019-2020 Penn State Laureate, presents "The Anxiety Project," an exploration of mental health through drawings, publications and a live performance. Doan will visit Penn State New Kensington with his work on March 17.

Dalynn Park, pictured left, works on a piece of hospital equipment in the biomedical engineering technology (BET) lab at Penn State New Kensignton with Trey Peters. Park, who is finishing her last year in the BET program, was named the 2020 recipient of the Frederick J. Berger Award from Tau Alpha Pi, the national honor society for engineering technology.

Exterior Rendering New Kensington Digital Innovation Lab

An artist rendering of the exterior of a new digital innovation lab being created by the Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland in collaboration with Penn State New Kensington. The lab project, which has received funding from the Richard King Mellon Foundation, is expected to open in 2021 and be located along the Corridor of Innovation, a five-block stretch of Fifth Ave. in the city of New Kensington.

True Black History Museum

The True Black History Museum, a traveling museum teaching Black history through showcasing historical artifacts, will visit Penn State New Kensington on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The exhibit, much like the one pictured at Henry Ford College, will be in the campus Athletic Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be a lecture  at 12:05 p.m. in the Forum Theatre that same day.

Trice virtual reality experience at 2019 Off the Wall pARTy

A guest interacts with a unique virtual reality experience at the 2019 Off the Wall pARTy at Penn State New Kensington. Attendees of the event's VIP experience were able to utilize a mobile app to hover over graphics to reveal interesting elements designed by featured artist Rodney Allen Trice, professor of practice in graphic design at the Stuckeman School in Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture. Trice, who also showcased some of his industrial art pieces at the event, also recently won Penn State's Teaching and Learning with Technology Open Innovation Challenge.
